Half
a year in the making, this new issue of MediaReader showcases
the work of Chicago-based photographer Michael Rhoades. The
work explores the realms of human integrity, suffering, protest,
and unity. Divided into four sections representing separate
struggles across the globe, RhoadesÕ takes us to post-referendum
East Timor, Mexico city, and finally post-September 11th Washington,
D.C. and Chicago.
A softback book of sorts, this zine showcases 164 pages of protests
against globalization, the IMF, the World Bank, and the notion
that war is a legitimate solution for our global problems.
